How to Maximize Your Golf Cart’s Life
A golf cart is a big investment, whether you go with a gas or an electric model, so you probably want to do everything you can to get the most out of it. There are plenty of things you can do to maximize the life of your golf cart, some of which we’ve outlined below.
For Gas Models
To keep your gas golf cart running smoothly, regular oil changes are necessary to ensure the engine is adequately lubricated. There are other parts of your golf cart’s engine that will require maintenance, including air and oil filters, spark plugs, and coolant.
For Electric Models
The main determiner in the life of an electric golf cart is mileage. Using your golf cart excessively will generally shorten its lifespan, so taking shorter trips with it is better. Also, you’ll need to replace the battery in the engine approximately every five years for best results. Storing the cart indoors can also help reduce weather damage.
In General
Staying on top of maintenance tasks will help your golf cart to perform at its best at all times. If you can keep up with regular upkeep tasks at home, your golf cart will reward you with years of service. Need some assistance with maintaining your golf cart?
